Containerized fire pump sets

METTA, the manufacturing brand of IDATOR, delivers next-generation containerized firefighting pump sets engineered for fast installation, durability, and compliance with international fire safety standards.

METTA, the manufacturing brand of IDATOR, delivers next-generation containerized firefighting pump sets engineered for fast installation, durability, and compliance with international fire safety standards.

Anticipating the global shift toward modular and easily deployable fire protection systemsIDATOR was the first company in Greece to introduce the containerized fire pump concept — offering a complete, factory-built solution for high-demand environments.

Each container is:

  • Designed and manufactured entirely in-house under the METTA production line
  • Tailored in dimensions, layout, and access according to the specific project requirements
  • Constructed with heavy-duty steel structure, advanced ventilation, and weather protection

Our containerized units integrate:

  • Fire pump sets (electric or diesel) compliant with EN 12845
  • Fully mounted piping, cabling, valves, and accessories
  • Electrical panels and automation, pre-wired and tested
  • Factory acceptance testing under real operational conditions

This all-in-one approach offers significant benefits:

  • Minimal on-site works
  • Faster commissioning
  • Transportability for remote or temporary sites
  • Consistency in quality and performance

Driven by IDATOR’s market experience and built under the precision of the METTA brand, these containerized systems are ideal for industrial plantslogistics centersenergy infrastructure, and civil protection projects.

Basic Composition

  • Frame made of iron profile beams, dimensioned according to the intended loads
  • Wall panels consisting of an EI 60 A2 S1 fire-resistant panel, with 60’ fire resistance
  • Roof cover consisting of an EI 60 A2 S1 fire-resistant panel, with an appropriate inclination for the drainage of stormwater
  • Removable roof (if applicable, it can be removed together with the wall panels)
  • Metal sheet floor (non-slip at points accessible topederastrians). This is not required if it is intended to be encased in reinforced concrete
  • Fire-resistant main entrance with a key
  • Side doors allowing access and ease of maintenance, opened either with a key or from inside the container
  • Complete firefighting set (with a selection among combinations of electric and diesel pumps), mounted on appropriate beams
  • Suction kit with appropriate cross-sections and devices
  • Within the container, provisions for the future connection of suction and discharge lines, test line, cooling lines, with appropriate pipelines and all required hydraulic fittings and valves
  • Exhaust pipe with a suitable end at the top of the container
  • Fuel tank connected to the diesel engine
  • Robust pipe supports to avoid oscillations and leaks
  • Firefighting set electrical panels with full electrical connection
  • Routing for the connection of the main supply of the electric pump and the electricity supply of the distribution panel

Auxiliary devices

  • Distribution panel for auxiliary loads
  • Lighting with switch and socket outlets
  • Ventilation with gravity louvres at the inlet and outlet
  • Radiator for maintaining an acceptable level that prevents damage to piping and pumps due to frost

Safety devices

  • Sprinkler for internal fire extinguishing
  • Security lighting
  • Emergency exit bars to prevent the entrapment of staff
  • Fire extinguisher
✅ Reduced Footprint → Lower Construction Costs

The compact design significantly reduces the required surface area compared to traditional pump stations — leading to less civil engineering worklower building costs, and more usable space on site.

✅ Turnkey System → Fewer Subcontractors, Less Coordination

Delivered fully assembled and equipped, including all piping, valves, control panels, and accessories — so you avoid delays and costs from sourcing and installing individual components.

✅ Full Design & Engineering Support → Streamlined Collaboration with Consultants

From detailed system design and 3D CAD drawings to optional on-site installation, IDATOR supports project consultants with ready-to-implement solutions that reduce complexity, improve clarity, and accelerate design approvals.

✅ Factory Testing → Zero Surprises On-Site

Each unit undergoes comprehensive functional and pressure testing at our facilities using advanced equipment. You receive a fully verified system, reducing commissioning time and on-site troubleshooting.

✅ Plug & Play Outdoor Installation → Minimal Site Works

Delivered as a ready-to-connect unit, the container only requires hydraulic and electrical connection — no pump room construction, no internal works, no hidden costs.

✅ Easier Access for Maintenance → Faster Repairs, Lower Downtime

Designed with serviceability in mind, the container layout allows direct and easy technician access, significantly reducing intervention time in case of malfunction.

✅ One Warranty, One Responsibility → Clear Accountability

You benefit from a single, comprehensive warranty covering the entire system — no finger-pointing between suppliers and no fragmented support.
